Recap: Parker Thundering Herd vs. Fairfield Tigers
The Parker Thundering Herd have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Fairfield with a sharp 54-30 win on Friday. Given Parker's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Fairfield is ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Teralyn Hill out in front who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Otiscia Towns, who scored ten points along with six assists and four steals.
Parker is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Parker won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hoover on December 9th. Hoover is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. Fairfield and Jackson-Olin will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jackson-Olin is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
