Baseball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Milton's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Montgomery Red Raiders on Monday. The Black Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Milton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Wolfe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Milton is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Montgomery, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milton will challenge Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ironmen's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Black Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Montgomery, they will square off against Sullivan County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
