Basketball Recap: Hauser Jets vs. North Decatur Chargers
Hauser lost against North Decatur back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hauser Jets lost 45-23 to the North Decatur Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Chargers are ranked 114th).
When it comes to explaining why Hauser lost, don't look at Braelyn Williams. Despite the final result, she posted seven points. Norah Berkenstock was another key player, putting up eight points.
Madi Allen was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 17 on her way to 25 points along with seven boards and six steals for North Decatur. The team also got some help courtesy of Clare Kinker, who had three points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Hauser and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for North Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
