Cocoa Beach hadn't done well against Astronaut recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Minutemen blew past the War Eagles 11-5. The Minutemen not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 12th.
 Connor McGrew made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Kristian Wolfe was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-4. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.  Anthony Ceruti was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Cocoa Beach has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Astronaut,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-11.
 Looking ahead, Cocoa Beach will challenge Palm Bay at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Astronaut, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  19-0  victory against Space Coast on the 4th.
