Softball Recap: Alpha Omega Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Alpha Omega Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the O'Connell Buccaneers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 on Friday.

Alpha Omega Academy pushed their record up to 6-12-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for O'Connell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Alpha Omega Academy will challenge BVCHEA HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.28 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. O'Connell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
