Islip waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Comsewogue Warriors 42-23. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buccaneers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Defeat or not, Comsewogue got some senior leadership from Connor Rocchio and Nicholas Saladino. Rocchio picked up 130 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Saladino threw for 166 yards and one TD.

Islip's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Comsewogue, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Islip will venture away from home to take on Half Hollow Hills West at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Colts will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Comsewogue, they will head out to square off against Wyandanch at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Comsewogue will be up against Wyandanch's rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
