Softball Recap: Dulaney Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

It was a proper cat-fight when Dulaney challenged Carver A&T on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Madison Schupple's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Avery Remeto was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Lila Gordan, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Dulaney's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Carver A&T, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Dulaney will welcome Catonsville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carver A&T, they will head out on the road to challenge Eastern Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
