Football Recap: River Ridge Falls Short of Black Hawk/Warren IL in the Playoffs

River Ridge and Black Hawk/Warren IL squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but River Ridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of Black Hawk/Warren IL by a score of 8-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with Black Hawk/Warren IL: they've now lost four in a row.

Leading Black Hawk/Warren IL to victory were Beau Podnar and Jacob Woodruff. Podnar rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, while Woodruff rushed for 113 yards on only 14 carries. Podnar really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.

River Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Black Hawk/Warren IL, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
