Basketball Recap: Loving Takes a Loss

Loving was the 65-53 winner over Cloudcroft when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Loving Falcons fell 50-40 to the Cloudcroft Bears on Friday. The Falcons' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Loving's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cloudcroft, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Loving and Cloudcroft could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Mexico Rankings. Loving will face off against Texico at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 71 places (91 vs. 20). Similarly, Cloudcroft (ranked 107th) will meet Mesilla Valley Christian School (ranked 30th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
