Softball Recap: Lytle Pirates vs. Hondo Owls
Lytle was the 21-11 winner over Hondo when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Lytle Pirates' tough 21-12 defeat to the Hondo Owls on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Lytle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lytle got a massive performance out of CALYSSA SEVIER, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Anissa Perez, who went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a double.
On Hondo's side, Aly Estes and Ashlyn Evans did most of the damage at the plate: Estes scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-5, while Evans scored four runs while going 2-for-4. Elena Rivera was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Lytle's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Hondo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-14.
Lytle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hondo also has no future games currently scheduled.
