Basketball Game Preview: Carson Cougars vs. North Rowan Cavaliers

Carson and North Rowan are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Carson Cougars will be playing at home against the North Rowan Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Carson saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a blow against Central Davidson, falling 64-23. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by Allie Martin, who posted seven points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, North Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-39 heartbreaker at the hands of Mount Pleasant.

North Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Carson, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Carson was taken down by North Rowan 65-23 when the teams last played back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Carson was down 36-11.
