Baseball Recap: Orestimba Takes a Loss

Orestimba's last matchup with Gustine could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Orestimba Warriors lost 9-3 to the Gustine Reds. The Warriors have struggled against the Reds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Orestimba saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donovan Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Orestimba's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Gustine, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orestimba will challenge Le Grand at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Gustine, they will square off against Stone Ridge Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gustine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
