Volleyball Game Preview: Lakewood Tigers vs. Golden Demons + How To Watch

The Lakewood Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Golden Demons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lakewood lost 3-0 to Columbine on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Lakewood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Golden posted their closest win since September 27th on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Arvada West. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (109-101) Golden actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Golden's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Lakewood was able to grind out a solid victory over Golden when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
