Volleyball Recap: Jake Streitman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pacific Ridge over Bishop's

Pacific Ridge lost against Bishop back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Firebirds took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. While the Firebirds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 25-20 in the first set.

Pacific Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-22.

Pacific Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jake Streitman, who had 37 assists and nine digs. He has been hot recently, having posted 32 or more assists the last four times he's played.

Pacific Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Bishop's, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Pacific Ridge will take on Madison at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Firebirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop's, they will square off against Sage Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
