Basketball Recap: Discovery Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Discovery was the 48-42 winner over Meadowcreek when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans took a blow against the Mustangs on Friday, falling 70-37. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meadowcreek had a senior duo take command as Sean Alicea posted 17 points and four steals and Jayden Beckham went 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points and five assists. With that strong performance, Alicea is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Tye'Rhaun Wren, who had eight points and five boards.

Discovery's loss dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Meadowcreek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Discovery will take on Parkview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Meadowcreek, they will square off against Hazel Green at 2:30 p.m. on the 24th.
