Football Game Preview: Moorpark Musketeers vs. Oak Park Eagles

Moorpark is a perfect 4-0 against Oak Park since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Moorpark is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

If Moorpark beats Oak Park with 24 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Everything went the Musketeers' way against Pueblo Central last Friday as they made off with a 24-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Musketeers, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Logan Moon was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.

Meanwhile, Oak Park's game last Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crespi. Despite 53 more yards than the Celts, the Eagles couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Moorpark will have to contain Grayson Auzat as he made an impact in Oak Park's last game. He threw for 224 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 45 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Nevada Ford, who gained 87 total yards and a touchdown.

Oak Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Moorpark, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Moorpark took their win against Oak Park when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 38-14 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Musketeers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
