Softball Recap: Mary G. Montgomery Takes a Loss

Mary G. Montgomery suffered their closest defeat since April 1st on Thursday. They fell just short of the Satsuma Gators by a score of 3-1. The Vikings have struggled against the Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Mary G. Montgomery saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Coleman, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Mary G. Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Satsuma, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mary G. Montgomery will take on Citronelle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Satsuma, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Daphne at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
