Wyandotte was led to victory by Talon Wyrick, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Welch had no answer to Wyrick as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also only allowed one walk).
Wyrick and Wyandotte will head out on the road to challenge Quapaw at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wyandotte has some work to do to even out the 1-8 series between these two since March of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
