Meanwhile, West Davidson put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Monday. Everything went their way against Union Grove Christian as West Davidson made off with a 16-2 win. The victory was just what West Davidson needed coming off of a 17-2 defeat in their prior matchup.
Hannah Rollins and Mahala Darnell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Rollins didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Darnell pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also didn't allow any walks). At the plate, Rollins scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Darnell got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and an RBI.
In other batting news, Abigail Leonard was incredible, going 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. Another player making a difference was McKinley McKinley Hyde, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
North Rowan's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for West Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.
