Desert Sunrise dropped their record down to 9-6-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Yuma Criminals, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Golden Hawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Isaac Sanchez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

As for Yuma, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-5-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.

On Yuma's side, not much got past Eli Lujan, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Desert Sunrise off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Deven Aguirrebarrena, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Jaime Ruelas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

The Golden Hawks are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Yuma, they will square off against Kofa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
