Baseball Recap: Tri-Valley Has No Trouble Against Coshocton

Tri-Valley won the last time they faced Coshocton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Scotties blew past the Redskins 21-1. The result was nothing new for the Scotties, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Nash Baughman looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady Kaufman, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Harrold, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

Tri-Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Coshocton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will head out to challenge Dover at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crimson Tornadoes' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Scotties' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Coshocton, they are taking a road trip to face off against John Glenn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
