Basketball Recap: McDaniel Comes Up Short

McDaniel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a blow against the Benson Tech Astros, falling 94-18. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Astros are ranked 14th).

McDaniel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Benson Tech, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDaniel has already played their next match (against Cleveland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Benson Tech will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ida B. Wells at 7:15 p.m. Benson Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Ida B. Wells likes a good challenge.
