Volleyball Recap: Ravenna Comes Up Short

Ravenna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-6, 25-8.

Ravenna's offense was headlined by Madison Morris and Jalysia Thompson, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Jordyn Allen and her four assists. Mackenzie Ervin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Ravenna's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Western Reserve Academy, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Ravenna didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Coventry on the 7th. Western Reserve Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Walsh Jesuit), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
