Soccer Recap: Ashley Victorious

With a playoff win on the line, Ashley rose to the challenge on Monday. They beat the Holly Springs Golden Hawks by a goal, winning 3-2. Ashley better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Clark Marriott, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Ashley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those seven matches. As for Holly Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Coming up, Ashley will face off against New Hanover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Hanover's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Holly Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
