Basketball Recap: Tonopah Valley's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Tonopah Valley's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over the Apache Junction Prospectors.

Apache Junction lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Omar Adam, who went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds Adam has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Barks, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and four steals.

Tonopah Valley's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Apache Junction, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Tonopah Valley will welcome Chino Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Apache Junction, they will head out on the road to challenge Globe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apache Junction is facing Globe at the right time seeing as Globe is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
