Evan Nelson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tyler Yates was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Rudd, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Germantown's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Memphis Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-1.
