Football Recap: Gainesville Starts Season with Victory Against Aubrey Rogers

Gainesville had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 36-2 win over the Aubrey Rogers Patriots. The Hurricanes pushed the score to 28-2 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots had little chance of recovering from.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gainesville will venture away from home to take on Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aubrey Rogers, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Estero at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
