Volleyball Recap: Urbana University Takes a Loss

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taylorville Tornadoes.

Taylorville had a senior duo take command as Ryan Prince had 13 assists and four aces and Robyn Ward had ten kills and one block. Ward is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season.

Urbana University's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Taylorville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Urbana University has already played their next contest (against Staunton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Taylorville, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Eureka on the 12th.
