Football Recap: Jamarioun Dear Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win + How To Watch

Quitman won the last time they faced Northeast Lauderdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 46-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Quitman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamarioun Dear, who rushed for 105 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. The dominant performance also gave Dear a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another player making a difference was Bryce Gavin, who rushed for 57 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Quitman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Quitman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zy'Vion Johnson and Daniel Peters. Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Northeast Lauderdale still got an impressive performance from Jourdin Williams, who rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns.

The victory got Quitman back to even at 4-4. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Quitman will challenge Southeast Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they will face off against West Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
