Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Cougars vs. Bentley Phoenix

Cornerstone Christian extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They came up short against the Bentley Phoenix, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.

Cornerstone Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Solis Cesar, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

As for Bentley, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. 11 seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Bentley's side, Max Grossman was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Rachuba, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Cornerstone Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-0 loss against College Prep on the 6th. As for Bentley, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against International on the 5th.
