Corner took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Mortimer Jordan a 5-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.

For Mortimer Jordan's part, Jeremiah Tingle was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk).
