Softball Recap: West Rowan Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

West Rowan entered their tilt with Central Cabarrus on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Central Cabarrus Vikings by a score of 5-1. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Raney Phelps was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Taylor Keller, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI.

West Rowan's record is now 5-2. As for Central Cabarrus, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Looking ahead, West Rowan will venture away from home to take on East Rowan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Cabarrus, they will host Hickory Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hickory Ridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Central Cabarrus surely won't give up without a fight.
