Eli Penne gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March of 2024 on Wednesday. He did his part (and then some), pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits for the 'W'. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
