Volleyball Game Preview: Rickover Naval Seadragons vs. Von Steuben Panthers

The Rickover Naval Seadragons will face off against the Von Steuben Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Rickover Naval didn't have quite enough to beat Lake View and fell 2-1. The Seadragons haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Rickover Naval started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Von Steuben had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Mather on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 10, 2024.

Rickover Naval's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Von Steuben, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.
