Baseball Game Preview: Craigmont Chiefs vs. Kingsbury Falcons

The Craigmont Chiefs will challenge the Kingsbury Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Craigmont is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs last Monday, they were much more limited against Ridgeway on Thursday. They came up short against the Roadrunners, falling 7-1.

Meanwhile, Kingsbury can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Memphis East 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since April 11, 2024.

Kingsbury got a massive performance out of Emanuel Arevalo, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Arevalo has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Harris, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Kingsbury's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Craigmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
