Volleyball Recap: Lompoc Takes a Loss

Lompoc extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-5. They lost 3-0 to the Templeton Eagles. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Emery Mendez paced Lompoc's offense, picking up four kills. Mendez got some help from Makenzie Guerra and her three assists. Alexa Espinoza controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Templeton, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Among those leading the charge was Reagan Leavitt, who had ten digs and two aces.

Looking ahead, Lompoc will head out to take on Atascadero at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Templeton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Shafter on the 4th.
