Volleyball Recap: Clarkston Wins High-Profile Contest Against Loganville

Clarkston faced Loganville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Angoras walked away with a 2-0 win over the Red Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Angoras.

While Clarkston won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16.

Heritier Musafiri paced Clarkston's offense, picking up six kills. Musafiri got some help from Lucas Williams and his 13 assists. Musafiri was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Clarkston's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Loganville, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3.

Coincidentally, Clarkston and Loganville will both be playing Shiloh the next time they take the court. The Angoras will head out to face the Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
