Softball Recap: Conner Wins Going Away Against Lloyd Memorial

Conner won the last time they faced Lloyd Memorial and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Juggernauts with a sharp 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Bayli Bell spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Conner got a big performance out of Addison Santiago, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Santiago has posted since back in May of 2024. Riley Roseburrough also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Conner's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Lloyd Memorial, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Conner will face off against Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Flyers have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. Lloyd Memorial has already played their next match (against Williamstown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
