Bishop Gorman graduate and Notre Dame standout has played both tackle positions and seems destined for a long NFL career, maybe with the No. 6 pick for the Baltimore Ravens.

Former Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) football coach Tony Sanchez always knew Ronnie Stanley was special.

"He'll be playing on Sundays," Sanchez predicted back with Stanley was a junior in high school. "I bet for many years."

Stanley, a 2012 Gorman graduate, was ranked the 127th-best player in the country by 247Sports his senior year, when the Gaels went 16-0 and won their third-straight state title (they've now won seven in a row). The then-6-foot-6, 285-pounder was ranked the 11th-best tackle of his recruiting class.

He had 18 offers and picked Notre Dame, where he started his final 26 games over his sophomore and junior seasons. He declared for the draft after yielding just one sack and recording 16 knockdown blocks last season at left tackle.

His sophomore season he played right tackle.

The latest CBS Sports mock draft boards say Stanley, now filled out at 312 pounds, will go among the first 10 picks of this week's NFL Draft. One expert has Stanley going as high as No. 6 to the Ravens, another No. 7 to the 49ers and three think he'll drop to No. 10 with the Giants.
