Basketball Game Preview: Ooltewah Owls vs. East Hamilton Hurricanes

Ooltewah hasn't had much luck against East Hamilton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ooltewah Owls will head out on the road to square off against the East Hamilton Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m.

Ooltewah is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 82-27 loss at the hands of Bradley Central. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Bears are ranked 68th).

Meanwhile, East Hamilton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-50 victory over Howard Tech on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Hurricanes have won by exactly three points.

East Hamilton pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Ooltewah, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Ooltewah was dealt a bruising 64-26 defeat at the hands of East Hamilton in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Ooltewah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
