Baseball Recap: Ore City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waskom last Tuesday, Ore City came back down to earth. The Rebels came up short against the Wildcats on Friday, falling 13-5. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Ore City has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. As for Waskom, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ore City is set to take on their familiar foe Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Waskom will square off against rival Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
