Softball Recap: Hanover Takes a Loss

Hanover couldn't beat Atlee on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Hawks fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 8-7. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 8-4.

Willow Dickenson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Kaycee Doughty, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hanover has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Atlee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Hanover didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-2 victory against Patrick Henry on the 16th. As for Atlee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Mechanicsville on the 16th.
