Volleyball Recap: Peekskill Comes Up Short

Peekskill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Hamilton Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent loss being a 1-0 defeat two weeks ago.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hamilton scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

Peekskill's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Peekskill will head out on the road to face off against Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hamilton, they will host Barack Obama School for Social Justice at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
