Football Recap: Southwest Dekalb's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matchups, Southwest DeKalb finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 31-7 to the Marist War Eagles. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this game were averaging 8.83 points allowed.

Braylon Carter threw for 96 yards and one touchdown while completing 75.9% of his passes. Jordan Christie was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards.

Parks Kaiser was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 47 yards and a pair of TDs.

The loss snapped Southwest DeKalb's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record. As for Marist, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 8.8, the Bulldogs 7.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Marist will take on rival North Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
