Basketball Recap: Dibble Takes a Loss

Dibble lost against Velma-Alma back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dibble Demons came up short against the Velma-Alma Comets, falling 50-28. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Comets are ranked 92nd).

Dibble has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Velma-Alma, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Dibble has already played their next contest, a 44-23 loss against Davis on the 18th. As for Velma-Alma, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-19 win against Geronimo on the 18th.
