Basketball Recap: Southeast Has No Trouble Against Rock River + How To Watch

Southeast won the last time they faced Rock River and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cyclones came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 47-34. That looming 47-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cyclones yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than TJ Moats, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds. Moats is becoming a predictor of the Cyclones' success: when he posts at least ten boards the team is 3-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Beaux Shimic, who went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points.

Southeast has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Rock River, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Southeast and Rock River will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Cyclones see the court they'll take on Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Rock River, their break will end when they face Kaycee at 2:00 p.m. on January 17, 2026.
