Warren and Anahuac are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. Warren will be playing at home against Anahuac at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren's hitters haven't had much luck over their past ten matches, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Warren's offense. They lost 16-0 to East Chambers on Monday.

Meanwhile, Anahuac made easy work of Hardin on Monday and carried off a 7-1 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Brecken Wilpitz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Anahuac got a big performance out of Estefani Palacios, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Palacios also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Hannah Mckenzie was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Palacios wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Anahuac kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Anahuac, their win bumped their record up to 14-3-2.
