Basketball Game Preview: Newberry Indians vs. Rudyard Bulldogs

Newberry is 1-9 against Rudyard since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Newberry Indians will take on the Rudyard Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Newberry will be strutting in after a win while Rudyard will be coming in after a loss.

Newberry will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating St. Ignace, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Newberry came out on top against St. Ignace by a score of 43-31 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Rudyard came up short against Ewen-Trout Creek on Friday and fell 60-53. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newberry's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Rudyard, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Newberry was able to grind out a solid win over Rudyard when the teams last played back in January, winning 53-42. Will Newberry repeat their success, or does Rudyard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
