Football Game Preview: Copperas Cove Bulldawgs vs. Temple Wildcats + How To Watch

The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs will head out to face off against the Temple Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Copperas Cove was handed a 20-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Shoemaker, sneaking past 30-27.

Meanwhile, Temple didn't have too much trouble with Bryan on Friday as they won 31-14. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Vikings are ranked 553rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Copperas Cove better keep an eye on Cavalli Nealy. He was instrumental in Temple's win, rushing for 245 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Nealy's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramauhn Brown, who picked up 136 receiving yards and one score.

Temple's record is now 6-2. As for Copperas Cove, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Copperas Cove took a serious blow against Temple in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 42-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wildcats' Champ Mayo, who threw for 310 yards and three TDs while picking up 14.1 yards per attempt. Now that the Bulldawgs know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
