Baseball Recap: Chicago Academy Takes a Loss

Chicago Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westinghouse Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Chicago Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Glover, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Caleb Roldan also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Chicago Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Westinghouse, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Chicago Academy by a score of 13-10 on Monday.
